Heathrow ULEZ Parking Guide
Heathrow ULEZ Parking Guide
As of August 2023, Heathrow Airport and all of its terminals (T2, T3, T4, and T5) are located within London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). This means that any vehicle driven to or from the airport must meet specific emissions standards to avoid a daily charge. Our Meet & Greet services offer the most convenient way to access the airport, but it is essential to understand how these regulations affect your journey.
Who Needs to Pay?
If your vehicle does not meet the ULEZ emissions standards, you are required to pay a daily charge of £12.50. This applies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year except Christmas Day.
Generally, the charge applies to:
- Petrol cars and vans that do not meet Euro 4 standards (typically those registered before 2006).
- Diesel cars and vans that do not meet Euro 6 standards (typically those registered before September 2015).
- Motorcycles that do not meet Euro 3 standards.
While our Meet & Greet service helps you avoid the hassle of navigating airport bus routes, customers are solely liable for any ULEZ charges incurred. Please note that for Meet & Greet customers with non-compliant vehicles, a charge is required for both the day of arrival and the day of return, as the vehicle must be driven to and from our secure compound.
How to Pay
Transport for London (TfL) manages all ULEZ payments. Air Park Pro does not collect these fees, and they are not included in your parking booking. You must pay through one of the official TfL channels:
- Online: Visit the official TfL website to pay for a single day or a range of dates.
- TfL App: Download the “TfL Pay to drive in London” app on iOS or Android for quick mobile payments.
- Auto Pay: Frequent travelers can set up an Auto Pay account to be billed automatically, ensuring you never miss a deadline.
- Telephone: Pay by calling 0343 222 2222 (UK) or +44 343 222 2222 (International).
Payment Deadlines: You can pay the charge up to 90 days in advance, on the day of travel, or by midnight on the third day following the journey. Failure to pay on time may result in a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) of £180.
